Polinska, Lehe and student give talks at Asian studies conference

Wioleta Polinska, associate professor of religious studies and chair of philosophy and religious studies; Robert Lehe, professor of philosophy; and Matthew Rogers ’10, who majored in Japanese and philosophy, presented papers at the Asian Studies Development Program 16th Annual National Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii, on July 2. Polinska’s paper was titled “Till Death Do Us Part?: Buddhist-Christian Discourse on Marriage”; Lehe’s paper was titled “The Problem of Evil in Christianity and Buddhism”; and Rogers’ paper was titled “Buddhist Interdependence as an Explanation of Cosmic Fine-Tuning.”
