Jenny Pippen, assistant director of academic support, has become a Certified Learning Center Professional, Level One, and received tutor certification for North Central College tutors through the College Reading and Learning Center. This certification implements a uniform training and evaluation program on campus that has been peer-reviewed. It gives the College national recognition as a school that has obtained certification for the tutoring program and recognizes Pippen as the person who created and implemented the program. The program includes 10 hours of training and 30 hours of face-to-face tutoring as a requirement.
