On Thursday, May 31, the North Central College Percussion Ensemble, directed by Lecturer in Music George Blanchet, with Percussion Soloist will present a percussion concert, titled “Batuque.” Held in Wentz Concert Hall, the percussion extravaganza will start at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
On Friday, June 1, the North Central College Concert Choir, directed by Professor of Music Jeordano Martinez, will perform its final concert of the season with orchestra accompaniment from North Central students and faculty members at 8 p.m. in Wentz Concert Hall. The concert will feature J.S. Bach’s “Magnificat” with several student soloists. Some lighter compositions, a farewell to the graduating seniors and the choir’s traditional closer, “River in Judea,” will complete the performance.
