Print Email Share

North Central College will host four author talks this fall as part of the College’s Sesquicentennial Author Series presented by Anderson’s Bookshops. A very limited number of free tickets is available to North Central students, faculty and staff.

Free tickets in the Wentz Concert Hall choir loft are now available to see and hear Tyra Banks at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, and one free ticket/person is available to see Caroline Kennedy at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in Pfeiffer Hall. To claim your free ticket to these two events, contact Judy Brodhead, coordinator of Cultural Events, at 630-637-5276 or jabrodhead@noctrl.edu.

Free tickets to see Philippa Gregory on Sunday, Oct. 23, in Wentz Concert Hall and Bill Bryson on Wednesday, Oct. 26, in Meiley-Swallow Hall will be available in mid-September; contact Brodhead at that time.

All free tickets for North Central College students, faculty and staff are for admission only and do not include the authors’ books or a signing number. A paid ticket from Anderson’s includes a book, signing number and admission; call 630-355-2665 or visit their store at 123 W. Jefferson Ave. to purchase a ticket.

North Central’s Cultural Events will host other speakers and authors throughout the year. For details about the fall events, including author information and new book titles, visit the Speakers page on the College’s fine arts website.
