The North Central College men’s cross country squad heads to Terre Haute, Ind., Saturday, Nov. 17, for the NCAA Division III National Championship, after winning the NCAA DIII Midwest Regional Championship for the fifth consecutive season last weekend. The men’s race at nationals is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Nov. 17.
The third-ranked Cardinals cruised past the 39-team field at the regional meet, amassing 58 total team points, claiming the 25th regional title in program history and downing runner-up, sixth-ranked University of Wisconsin-La Crosse by a 56-point margin. Ninth-ranked Washington University finished third with 135 points, followed by fellow CCIW foe, 13th-ranked Wheaton College (140).

The women’s cross country team finished the season with a 15th-place finish at the Midwest Regional Championship. The Cardinals totaled 426 points, while 11th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire topped the 40-team field, claiming the team championship with 67 team points. Read more.
