Men’s track & field wins 34th CCIW championship title, women claim second place

At the CCIW Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University May 4-5, the men’s team cruised to its second straight conference championship, and its third in the last four years. The fourth-ranked Cardinals placed first in just three of the 21 events, but collected 13 second-place finishes and eight third-place showings to put up 285 points and claim the 34th CCIW title in the program’s history. The women’s track & field team finished second at the CCIW Outdoor Championships with 185 points. The host Titans secured the team title, amassing 204 points.
