For just the sixth time in school history, the North Central College men’s cross country team achieved a perfect score at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships, sweeping the top five spots on Oct. 29 at Montrose Harbor for the dominating victory. The Cardinals have now won 38 consecutive CCIW titles in cross country and 45 overall while tallying a perfect score for the first time since 2009. The women’s cross country team captured its third straight CCIW also on Oct. 29, outdistancing runner-up Illinois Wesleyan University by a 17-point margin. For the second straight season and sixth time overall, the Cardinals claimed the individual champion as Alicia Zimmerman (photo, left) traversed the 6,000-meter course with Krista Cota (photo, right) a close second. The duo’s efforts helped the Cardinals win the CCIW title for the third straight season and seventh time overall. More
