North Central’s student club Fusión Española will host its Latin Film Festival May 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 20 and 25. All seven films provide “a cinematic window into Ibero-American (Latin America, Spain and Brazil) cultures,” says Alberto Fonseca, assistant professor of Spanish. Screenings are free and will be shown in Meiley-Swallow Hall.
The first film to be shown is “Volver” (photo, Spain, 2006, rated R) and stars Penélope Cruz. It will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Most others take place at noon. Visit the College’s website for a complete description and times for each film.
