The Cardinal football team travels to Redlands, Calif., for its first regular-season game against the University of Redlands on Saturday, Sept. 3. Cardinal fans can follow the live action on WONC-FM 89.1, online at WONC.org or live stats on the College’s athletic website. Kickoff time on Saturday is set for 9 p.m. CT in Chicago or 7 p.m. PT.
The Cardinals and Redlands Bulldogs have never met on the football field, but the contest promises to be a good one. The Bulldogs finished their 2010 season with a 8-1 record and took second place in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). The Cardinals finished their 2010 season with an overall record of 12-1, setting a new North Central record for wins in a single season with its single loss occurring in quarterfinal play at the NCAA Division III national championships.
Both schools are members of the New American Colleges and Universities (NAC&U).
