Film Central is North Central College’s series for independent film and presents its second annual Fall Festival, Sept. 16-21, in association with the Naperville Independent Film Festival.
North Central is one of four host sites for the Naperville Independent Film Festival (NIFF) and will feature 49 films from 16 countries on its campus from Sunday, Sept. 16, through Friday, Sept. 21. All screenings will be shown in Smith Hall and begin at 7 p.m., except a 5 p.m. start time on Sunday, Sept. 16. Click here to view the Film Central lineup.
North Central students, faculty and staff can purchase tickets at the door at a reduced rate—$2/session, $3/evening or $12 for the week—and enter a drawing at each attended screening for a five-day/four-night Cancun resort vacation.
NIFF shows winners from Paris’ European Independent Film Festival (the ECU). North Central College will present most of the award-winning short films from the Paris festival, as well as some of Paris’ award-winning features and a few short films from the United States. Each film from Paris is a double award-winner; every film in the Paris festival must have won an award at another European film festival to qualify for the Paris event.
The fifth annual Naperville Independent Film Festival runs Sept. 15-22. Click here to view a complete schedule and program guide of this event.
