North Central and the department of education have established four new school partnerships this year, enabling education students to do their practicums and student teaching, which often lead to future teaching positions. The new partnership schools are Gwendolyn Brooks Elementary in District 204, Hermes Elementary in District 131, Hill Middle School in District 204 and Madison Junior High in District 203.
During the May 7 partnership signing with Madison Junior High, marketing major Jackie Privitt ’10 shared her mentoring experience with College representatives, District 203 administrators and Madison faculty. The school’s principal Erin Anderson applauded the collaboration in mentoring, professional development and leadership for faculty and students.
Other District 203 partner schools include Highlands Elementary, Ellsworth Elementary, Mill Street Elementary, Beebe Elementary, Washington Junior High and Lincoln Junior High.
