Recent graduate and elementary education major Jill Bushman ’10 was featured in
The Beacon-News Aug. 24 on her first day of teaching 29 fourth-grade students at Aurora’s Oak Park Elementary School.
Throughout her four years at North Central, Bushman was involved in Junior/Senior Scholars as a tutor, mentor, team leader and summer intern. She credits her involvement with Junior/Seniors Scholars, her work at Chicago’s Disney Magnet School and fluency in Spanish in helping her land the teaching position. She is one of 40 new teachers in the East Aurora School District.
