Stephanie Ryding ’10 was named the College’s 2009 Lincoln Laureate, an annual award that honors outstanding seniors at four-year degree-granting institutions in Illinois. North Central faculty selected Ryding as the College’s top senior for her excellence in curricular and co-curricular activities.
Ryding was honored during an awards ceremony on Nov. 7 in Springfield, Ill. She carries a triple major in management, international business and Spanish with a near-perfect cumulative GPA. She is a leader with the College Union Activities Board and is active with the Blue Key Honors Society, has served as a tutor with the College’s Academic Support Center, and was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society for freshmen.
Ryding is a standout starting libero with the volleyball team, which this week received its first-ever NCAA tournament invitation. She also was recently named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) ESPN the Magazine College Division Academic All-District Second Team, as well as many other awards.
