North Central and 150 other colleges and universities are participating in a project by the United National Alliance of Civilizations Media Fund designed to inspire student discussions about stereotypes of Muslims. North Central has agreed to view a documentary “Crossing Borders,” which follows four Moroccan and four American university students as they travel together through Morocco and discover each other and themselves. The screening and discussion are open to the campus community and will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, in Meiley-Swallow Hall. There will be a follow-up survey focused on American university students’ perceptions of Muslims by the College's exchange partners in Spain.
