Deanne Reedquist Sramek has been a clinical nurse researcher at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY, for seven years. She helps provide staff with the knowledge and resources to access and utilize evidence in their nursing practice. She educates new graduates and nurses on research and evidence-based practice, assists with research projects and practice changes, and mentors undergraduate and graduate students with their projects. Most recently, she became a member of the RENEW (Revolutionizing Nursing Education in Wyoming) program, a joint partnership between the University of Wyoming and Wyoming’s community colleges and healthcare organizations. The program’s goal is to enhance the quality of nursing education through a shared, competency-based statewide curriculum so associate degree nursing students can continue their studies from one of seven community colleges into the bachelor of nursing program (or master’s) at the university. She lives in Casper with her husband Joe and two children, Nick and Maddie. She may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
