Some 36 members of the North Central College Women’s Chorale embarked on the ensemble’s second trip abroad, to Ireland, June 12-19. The women traveled to Dublin, Galway, Killarney and Bray and gave performances in historic cathedrals like St. Patrick’s in Dublin and enjoyed seeing the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands and the Ring of Kerry.

The Women’s Chorale is directed by Ramona Wis, Mimi Rolland Professor in the Fine Arts, professor and chair of music. In addition to Wis, other music faculty members who were part of the ensemble’s tour to Ireland included Marie Bennett, Linda Ogden Hagen, Victoria VerHoven and Barbara Vanderwall, as well as several alumnae of the Women’s Chorale and Benna Wilde, wife of President Harold Wilde.
