Gregory H. Wolf, associate professor in German, conducted a statewide workshop and seminar titled “Strategies for Successful German Programs: Advocacy, Articulation, and Outreach” for the Michigan chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German, hosted by Wayne State University in Detroit on April 16.

The full-day workshop, attended by some 40 professors and instructors of German from around the state, concentrated on developing effective strategies to advocate the continued study of German on the K-16 level, establishing productive vertical and horizontal curricular articulation through proficiency-based and collaborative learning, and instituting innovative outreach and community-building programs. The entire workshop was generously supported by Faulhaber Endowment at Wayne State University.
