Vocal group Tenors Un Limited perform classical crossovers Jan. 18 at North Central College

London-based vocal trio Tenors Un Limited performs an exciting evening of popular classical music Jan. 18 at North Central College.

In a concert titled “The Rat Pack of Opera,” Tenors Un Limited present original compositions along with timeless favorites, including “O Sole Mio,” “You Raise Me Up,” “Time to Say Goodbye,” “Volare,” “Summertime” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”

“The Rat Pack of Opera” performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in the College’s Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville. Tenors Un Limited is comprised of vocalists Scott Ciscon, Paul Martin and Jem Sharples. The group’s performance in North Central College’s Wentz Concert Hall will be its only Chicago-area appearance prior to the start of the group’s 2012 tour of the United Kingdom in support of a new album. Ciscon is a Chicago native and graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

With backgrounds in opera, theatre and the recording world, Tenors Un Limited has set out to bring its own unique blend of wit, charm and vocal arrangements—along with original compositions—to the classical crossover genre.

During the past nine years, the group has entertained audiences throughout the world and has received critical acclaim for the releases “The Rat Pack of Opera” and “Brand New Day.”

The trio has performed alongside such notables as Sting, Beyoncé, Hayley Westenra, Lionel Ritchie, Simply Red and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, appearances on English television and radio as well as their performance at the FA Cup Final in London have firmly established the trio as one of the world’s premier classical crossover groups.
