Students present at leadership conference

Feb. 21, 2011—Two North Central College students presented at the National Collegiate Leadership Conference Feb. 18-20 at the University of Arizona.

“The 6 E’s to Successful Leadership Development” was presented by Jennifer Baron, a senior Spanish major from Justice, and Megan Holland a senior mathematics/psychology double major from Midlothian.

The presentation is about how Baron and Holland led and restructured North Central’s co-curricular Leadership, Ethics and Values program this year, said Thomas D. Cavenagh, Schneller Sisters Professor of Leadership, Ethics and Values; professor of law and conflict resolution; director of leadership, ethics and values; and coordinator of master of leadership studies program.
The National Collegiate Leadership Conference (NCLC) is a student-run nonprofit organization that brings together students and leaders from diverse backgrounds to learn leadership skills, cultivate social responsibility, break down leadership barriers and adopt leadership as a way of life. Featuring students from more than 50 institutions, the NCLC is the nation’s largest student-run conference on leadership.
