March 2, 2010—Enrollment is underway for summer school at North Central College. Courses are open to students from other colleges and to all North Central undergraduate and graduate students.
An eight-week class session begins June 14, and two four-week sessions begin June 14 and July 12. Enrollment is easy; applications are available online at www.northcentralcollege.edu/academics/curriculum/summer-school/ or by calling 888-595-GRAD (4723). Students may also register by mail or in person at the campus administration building, Old Main, 30 N. Brainard St., Naperville, at the second-floor Office of Admission.
Undergraduate course offerings include such core academic subjects as biology, chemistry, calculus, physics and American government. Students may choose from courses in astronomy, cultural anthropology, international business, urban problems, interpersonal communication, sport management or East Asian studies. Classes are offered in ceramics, outdoor education, wellness and first aid.
Graduate students may choose from courses ranging from financial management and conflict resolution to human resource management and professional leadership.
“Summer school is a great way for students to accelerate their degree progress,” says Peter Barger, dean of graduate and continuing education. “We welcome both North Central students and students from other four-year colleges and universities who are home for the summer. We offer myriad liberal arts and core courses that easily transfer back to other four-year institutions.”
