The Princeton Review has once again named North Central College a Best Midwestern College in its annual survey of the nation’s best colleges.

North Central College is included in The Princeton Review’s college guide, “The Best 379 Colleges, 2015 Edition.” The guide surveys more than 130,000 college students nationwide to determine the top 15 percent of about 2,900 four-year institutions nationwide.

The survey asks students 80 questions about their school’s academics, administration, student body and other criteria. The ranking methodology uses a five-point scale to convert qualitative student assessments into quantitative data for school-to-school comparisons. The Princeton Review began surveying college students and publishing its findings in 1992.

North Central College students who were surveyed said they liked the College’s Naperville location, saying “you cannot beat being so close to Chicago” to land internships and career opportunities. Students also praised North Central College’s “wonderful study abroad program,” “great science department” and “dedicated and accessible” professors who encourage “individual research and independent study.”
