North Central College and family and friends of 2011 alumnus Shaun Wild, who died on Feb. 4, 2012, have established the Shaun Wild Memorial Fund to honor Shaun’s life and memory.
At North Central, Shaun majored in elementary education with minors in history and social studies, was president of the Student Leaders Association of Teacher Educators, a member of the student-athlete honor society and football team. After graduation, he taught second grade at Spring Brook Elementary School in Naperville.
“There has been an outpouring of support on our campus and from alumni across the country for the Wild family,” says Adrian Aldrich ’02, North Central College director of alumni relations. “The memorial fund that has been established at the College will allow people to make a tax-deductible gift to honor Shaun.” Aldrich also says that the College will work with the Wild family at a later date to determine how the funds will be used.
Bruce Wild, Shaun’s father, says, “As a teacher, student and teammate, Shaun dedicated his life to helping others pursue personal development and a shared excellence. We will continue Shaun’s vision by inspiring future North Central College graduates.”
Financial contributions to the Shaun Wild Memorial Fund may be made online or mailed to the College.
