Suburban Life Publications features a Q&A profile with 2007 North Central College broadcast communication alumnus Wayne Randazzo, the new radio voice for the Kane County Cougars.
When the Geneva-based Cougars—the Class A Midwest League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals—open their baseball season April 5, Randazzo will be heard calling games on radio station WBIG-AM 1280 and online at kccougars.com.
Randazzo's previous broadcasting experience includes working for Big Ten Network productions, anchoring shows on WGN radio and doing updates on WSCR-AM 670 The Score.
He tells Suburban Life Publications he chose to transfer from Arizona State University to North Central College, where as a student he gained experience at WONC-FM 89.1 and like many other broadcasting alumni, earned several state and national awards.
"They have a great radio program," he says of his alma mater.
