Naperville celebrates holidays with help from student, faculty member

The Sesquicentennial Celebration has shown us the many synergies between North Central College and the City of Naperville. Now there’s a new one to celebrate this holiday season.

The family of Amy '98 and David Gray, assistant professor of accounting, donated a large fir tree from their yard to the city. The pine tree was removed last week and is now on display in front of the Municipal Center as the city’s official Christmas tree. The Naperville Sun wrote about the Grays in a story and published photos of the tree being removed from the yard of their Naperville home.

Also, on Friday during the Hometown Holidays celebration in downtown Naperville, first-year student Chelsea Ward represents North Central College as standout vocalists from local schools sing seasonal songs from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. on the parade main stage at Jefferson Avenue and Webster Street.
