Members of the Naperville Art League will display their original creations in a month-long exhibit at North Central College.
“Spontaneous” is free and open to the public from July 23 through Aug. 22 in Schoenherr Art Gallery at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville. Artists will greet visitors during an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23.
The exhibit will showcase selected two- and three-dimensional art pieces in a variety of media from more than 30 local artists who belong to the Naperville Art League, a nonprofit organization that has been inspiring passion in the arts in the community for nearly 50 years. Members include both professional and emerging artists as well as hobbyists. Some are formally trained while others are self-taught.
The exhibit will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, and one hour before most performances in the Fine Arts Center. Contact Nickole C. Lanham, North Central’s gallery director, at 630-637-5375 or firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more about the exhibit.
The exhibit is among many ongoing programs at North Central College to enrich and broaden the cultural and academic outlook for the College and community.
