Jack Mouse—North Central College adjunct assistant professor of music, coordinator of the jazz studies program and jazz drummer—received an Aquarian Award of Achievement, presented by Aquarian Drumheads in acknowledgement of Mouse’s contributions as a jazz educator and performer.

Founded in 1980 by famous drummer and clinician Roy Burns, Aquarian Drumheads is an international company with a number of innovative patented products and sells drumheads and other gear to artists around the world, including Chad Butler of Switchfoot and Rikki Rockett of Poison.

CEO Burns says his company has presented the Aquarian Award of Achievement just three times in its history. “Jack (Mouse) is a highly regarded educator, and his new recording ‘Range of Motion’ demonstrates his prowess as a marvelous player and a true artist.”

Mouse is a staff artist/clinician for Aquarian Drumheads.

Mouse has been a member of the jazz studies faculty since 1996. He has a bachelor of music degree from the College of Emporia.
