Anthony Schlorff M ’11, North Central College lecturer in education, has served as the instructional technology coordinator since July 2012 at the Community Consolidated School District 93, serving portions of Bloomingdale, Carol Stream and Hanover Park, IL.

In his role, he has implemented many instructional technology ideas, including a major technology rollout program in fall 2012 called the “1:1 learning initiative” that aims to put a computer in the hands of every student by 2015. Most recently, the program rolled out a new MacBook Air to each of the district’s 450 sixth graders and an iPad to 300 kindergartners.

He also was the lead in making the transition from a PC to an Apple platform and providing professional development for teachers, paraprofessionals, aides, office staff and administration on how to incorporate instructional technology into the school setting.

Formerly a mathematics instructor at Naperville Central High School, he now teaches the K-12 instructional technology course at North Central while working in District 93.

Schlorff earned his M.A. in education in the curriculum and instruction track from North Central in 2011 and his B.S. in mathematics education from Illinois State University.
