Patricia King, adjunct assistant professor of English, recently placed two of her short stories as finalists in two different national competitions. “A Luck that Will Save Her” was a 2010 finalist in the New Letters’ Alexander Patterson Cappon Prize for Fiction. “The Death of Carrie Bradshaw” was a finalist for the 2010 Indiana Review Fiction prize. As a finalist, her short stories may be published in New Letters and Indiana Review.
King received her B.A. from Eastern Mennonite University, her M.A. from James Madison University and her Ph.D. from Emory University in 2000.
