| Kelly Ator |
Kelly Ator was honored with the 2011 Outstanding Major in Sport Management Award during Honors Day May 17 at North Central College.
Ator is a graduating senior majoring in sport management with minors in wellness and coaching. She has been accepted to a graduate program in recreation administration at Illinois State University and will serve as special events and competitive programs graduate assistant.
At North Central, Ator was among a group of student-athletes who worked with Habitat for Humanity on a service trip to Mobile, Ala., during spring break in March 2011. As a sophomore she earned the College’s Scholar-Athlete Award for having the highest grade-point average of any student-athlete in her class.
She played on the North Central volleyball team, was a Student-Athlete Mentor and earned Academic All-CCIW honors from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin for four consecutive years. She was inducted into the Illinois Mu Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, a national honor society that recognizes student-athletes with high academic and high athletic achievement.
