Student-athlete James Hoffman of Minooka is profiled in a Joliet Herald News article in which he talks about the upcoming 2012 track and field season and his interest in interactive media studies.
Hoffman will be begin his senior year as a Cardinal this fall and told his hometown paper he has a specific athletic goal in mind for his final year at North Central.
“I’d really, really like to qualify for nationals in the 400 hurdles,” he said.
Hoffman said he researched North Central before he visited campus, and it didn’t take long for him to feel he belongs here.
“I fell in love with it the minute I stepped on the campus,” he said. “It’s a great program. Everyone is really disciplined. Everyone looks out for each other.”
Hoffman is majoring in interactive media studies and his dream is to be a video-game designer.
“I’ve always been an art student, artistic,” he said. “I’d like to freelance after graduation and see where that takes me. Hopefully, one day I’ll be designing video games.”
