Perry Hamalis—North Central College Cecelia Schneller Mueller Professor of Religion, associate professor of religious studies and director Office of Academic Opportunities—had a chapter published on “Ethics” in a prestigious collection of essays, “The Orthodox Christian World,” edited by Augustine Casiday and published by Routledge, 2012.
 
The collection offers an overview of the Orthodox world, covering the main regional traditions of Orthodox Christianity and the ways in which they have become global. The contributors, including Hamalis, are drawn from the Orthodox community worldwide and explore a rich selection of key figures and themes. Hamalis joined North Central’s faculty in 2004. He earned his B.A. from Boston College, his M.Div. from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
