Mallory Carr, a 2012 North Central College graduate who majored in sport management, was profiled by The Herald News about her career as an assistant golf pro at White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville/Aurora.
She talked about winning Joliet's Inwood Golf Course Long Drive Competition, competing in the Illinois Women’s Open at Mistwood Golf Course in Romeoville, and being among 429 nominees announced for the 2012 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
"I am really proud of this nomination," she told the newspaper. "North Central College has really helped me shape myself into the proud woman I am today. I wouldn’t have accomplished anything without my NCC family: professors, teammates, coaches and faculty."
In addition to competing with the women's golf team, while a student at North Central Carr served as a Student-Athlete Mentor (SAM), a representative of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and competed with the women’s track and field team.
