Film Central, North Central College’s indie/social-change film series, presents guest speaker Diane Nilan and the national premiere screening of the short film “Littlest Nomads” at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 10, in the theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall. The film is the second in the Film Central series during spring term and is sponsored by the College’s English department, fine & performing arts, Office of International Programs and Leadership, Ethics and Values.
Admission is $3/North Central students, faculty and staff and $5/general public. All proceeds benefit Hear Us, a national nonprofit organization that gives voice and visibility to homeless youth and children. Hear Us produced “Littlest Nomads.” Viewers are asked to bring diapers and baby formula, if possible.
“Littlest Nomads” highlights the plight and invisible issue of homeless babies, toddlers and pre-school children and offers solutions. Hear Us founder Diane Nilan is the guest speaker and film producer and will discuss homelessness.
