College announces faculty promotions, tenure

June 9, 2010--The North Central College Board of Trustees recently granted tenure and approved promotions to several faculty members effective with the start of the 2010-2011 academic year in September. These faculty are:

• Martha Bohrer, Ph.D., of Chicago was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of English.
• Stephen Maynard Caliendo, Ph.D., of Chicago was promoted to professor of political science.
• Perry Hamalis, Ph.D., of Naperville was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of religious studies.
• Lisa Long, Ph.D., of Naperville was promoted to professor of English.
• Heidi Matthews of Naperville was promoted to professor of health and physical education.
• Wioleta Polinska, Ph.D., of Naperville was promoted to professor of religious studies.
• Lawrence Van Oyen, Ph.D., of Oswego was promoted to professor of music.
