Young soccer players are invited to meet Chicago Fire soccer players Sean Johnson and Steven Kinney on June 24 at North Central College.
As part of its Community Soccer Series, the Fire—Chicago’s Major League Soccer club—will hold a skills clinic from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at North Central College’s Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, 455 S. Brainard St., Naperville.
The free clinic is open to athletes from the community ages 7 to 14 years and is designed to instruct young athletes on the technical elements of soccer while educating them about physical fitness, health and wellness. Participants will receive a Community Soccer Series T-shirt and autograph session with Chicago Fire players and the team mascot, Sparky.
Space is limited to the first 200 participants and registration ends on Wednesday, June 23, or when capacity is reached. For more information or to register contact Kristin Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 708-496-6754. Visit www.chicago-fire.com for more information.
Founded in 1997, the Chicago Fire is based at Toyota Park in Bridgeview and played its home games at North Central College for two seasons in 2002 and 2003.
