Jeff Davis '92

Jeff Davis was elected president of the Naperville Public Library Board. He is vice president, sales administration and marketing with Phoenix Closures, Inc., a Naperville-based manufacturer of plastic caps and closures. Davis has been a coach, Cub Scout den leader and has served on the Naperville Community School District 203 board from 2000 to 2003. Davis also served on the Naperville Area Chamber’s board of directors from 2003 to 2006 and chaired the legislative committee.

John Krutzler '81

John Krutzler is head of Marsh USA’s Columbus, Ohio, office. He’ll be responsible for the overall growth and profitability of the office and for ensuring that Marsh delivers superior advisory and transactional services to its clients in central Ohio. With nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience, he has held a variety of leadership, sales and account management positions within Marsh Risk Consulting and Marsh’s brokerage operations. Prior to his appointment he was central zone sales leader for Marsh Risk Consulting.

The Reverend Barbara Carlson '56

The Reverend Barbara Carlson edited “Continuously Creating Spirit, A Clarke Wells Reader” by Clarke Dewey Wells. Carlson writes, “Witty, insightful, provocative, often profound, Dr. Wells’ work is a legacy to free religious thinkers from a man who loved life, loved the church, was devoted to the common good, and had great compassion for the human condition.” The book is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Brad Hite '98

Brad Hite was named president of Stainless Sales Corporation. He was hired in 2009 as the national sales manager and his most recent role was general manager of the Chicago stainless steel strip service center. As president, Hite plans on continuing the company’s growth initiatives and its 66-year tradition of exceptional service.

Michael D. Oldenettel '88

Michael D. Oldenettel was installed as the 2012 president-elect of the Illinois Association of Realtors. He’ll serve as chair of the strategic planning committee and as vice chair of the leadership and executive committees and National Association of Realtors political advisory working group. He’s managing broker-owner of RE/MAX Results Plus, Inc. in Jacksonville, IL.

Steve Lacey '64

Steve Lacey published a book titled “The Poems of S.E. Lacey.” It began as a personal book shared only with family and friends but is now available at Amazon.com. He lives with his wife Gloria Parsons in Three Rivers, MI, and Fort Myers, FL, and continues his love of music in both states, being active in numerous choral groups.

Adam Carlson '02

Adam Carlson joined Lawrence Behr Associates, Inc., as a field engineer, assisting the director of site services. He’ll provide RF (radio frequency) compliance services like AM detuning and RF safety studies. During the last decade he has provided technical services for broadcast stations in Illinois, Iowa and Texas. He will be based in Minneapolis.

Johnel Muczynski '95

Johnel Muczynski was honored with the Joliet Area Great Teachers Award from the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry on March 15. She has taught physical education at Joliet West High School for 15 years.

Dan Palmer '81

Dan Palmer led the Case Western Reserve University men’s soccer team to a second University Athletic Association (UAA) title. In his eighth season as head men's soccer coach, he coached the UAA most valuable player for the second consecutive year and coached the co-rookie of the year for the first time in program history. Palmer has also coached four All-Americans. He and his staff were also honored as the UAA Co-Coaching Staff of the Year. He lives in Medina, Ohio, and may be reached at dmp31@case.edu.

Rogene A. Buchholz '59

Rogene A. Buchholz wrote a book titled “Reforming Capitalism: The Scientific Worldview and Business.” It examines the role that the traditional understanding of science plays in how we understand the capitalistic system and how it informs business and business school education. It’s a companion to “Rethinking Capitalism: Community and Responsibility in Business,” published in 2009. Both books are published by Routledge.
