In the six years since its inception, North Central College’s The Union has become a popular underground music and arts venue in the Chicago suburbs at 129 W. Benton Ave. in downtown Naperville. This October, The Union will host a number of artists and events, including a return visit from the nonprofit, mental health movement To Write Love on Her Arms and rapper FM Supreme during Anti-Hate Week.

North Central College will host a testing site for the American Mathematics Contest 8 (AMC 8) for students in grades 8 and below Nov. 15.

Oct. 3, 2011—North Central College will host a testing site for the American Mathematics Contest 8 (AMC 8) for students in grades 8 and below. Students who are either home-schooled or enrolled in area junior high schools are invited to participate. The contest will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the College’s Harold and Eva White Activities Center, 325 E. Benton Ave., Naperville.

North Central College on Nov. 7 will premiere the third part of a documentary series produced with NCTV that chronicles the College’s 150-year history.

Oct. 19, 2011—North Central College invites the public to the free premiere of the third part of a documentary series produced with Naperville Community Television that chronicles the College’s 150-year history.

“Challenges of the Post-World War II Years” is the third of the five-part documentary series “A Promising Start,” which commemorates the College’s Sesquicentennial. The segment will premiere at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Complimentary refreshments will be served at a reception beginning at 6:30 p.m.
