***Special FAFSA Announcement*** The timing and process of FAFSA has changed! The 2017-18 FAFSA is available beginning October 1, 2016 at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The 2017-18 FAFSA will again use information from your 2015 income tax return. It is highly recommended that you use the "Link to IRS" tool on FAFSA to submit the most accurate data possible. Illinois residents who may qualify for the state MAP grant are strongly encouraged to submit the 2017-18 FAFSA no later than October 31, 2016.
College may be the first and most important investment decision you’ll make as a young adult—one that impacts the rest of your financial life. But, it is not a step you have to take alone. Our admission and financial aid team will help you design an aid package that can include need- and merit-based scholarships, grants, loans and/or campus employment.
We’re proud of the fact that we promote access for students from all backgrounds. In fact, North Central College provides need-based aid and merit-based scholarships to nearly 90 percent of first-year students, and 100 percent of all students eligible for aid receive aid.
An aid package does not guarantee a good value. Before committing to a school, ask yourself these questions:
- Will I receive the academic guidance and choices I need to graduate in a timely fashion?
- Will I find opportunities for work, internships and co-curricular experience to round out my degree?
- Is this a place where I can live comfortably, happily and within a budget?
If you decide that North Central College offers you these opportunities, we are here to help you. Contact your admission counselor or the financial aid team to get started on your path to a North Central College degree.
