Quentin “Cue” Nolte was a teacher and athletic coach at Norway Public Schools in Norway, Mich. In 1928, Nolte was in an automobile accident that left him a permanent paraplegic. Not one to be defeated, he started working as an assistant medical records librarian, typist and part-time bookkeeper for the Bethany Methodist Hospital. Later, Nolte published a booklet of his writings on his “living philosophies.” One of the writings was the address he delivered to “The Sunday Evening Club” on television, an event he considered one of the high points of his life.
