Clair Schroeder held a variety of leadership positions at numerous colleges, churches and community organizations across the United States. He also served his alma mater as a member of the Alumni Board and class representative.

His wife Lucille Erffmeyer Schroeder, also an Outstanding Alumni Award Recipient, served in many leadership positions for a variety of women’s groups. She was also listed in the following Who’s Who publications: Two Thousand Women of Achievement, 1972; Who’s Who of American Women, 1972-83; The World’s Who’s Who of Women, 1973; Who’s Who in the Midwest, 1972-73; and the Dictionary of International Biography, 1974.
