Campaign Phases
North Central College’s Sesquicentennial Legacy Project begins with enhancements to the Riverwalk entrance to campus, then continues with upgrades to the walkway that leads through campus past Old Main to Oesterle Library.
Riverwalk Gateway
The new entrance will feature stone landmark pillars, attractive seating areas, brick walkways and a pathway to the river.
The Riverwalk Gateway will include a walkway that winds past Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
Goal: $1.5 million
Construction begins summer 2012

Sesquicentennial Walkway
A well-traveled path (known as the pedestrian spine) leads walkers and bicyclists through the heart of campus. We will enhance the space by burying overhead power lines, installing brick pavers and landscaping the area.
The walkway, which is bordered by Brainard and Loomis streets, extends from Jefferson Plaza north to Oesterle Library.
Goal: $3.5 million
Construction begins summer 2012
