Student Affairs Learning Outcomes

In order to achieve the College's mission of developing "informed, involved, principled and productive citizens and leaders," the divisioin of Student Affairs has adpoted the following learning domains and outcomes to guide our work.

Learning Outcome: Students who participate in Student Affairs programs, activities and services will develop a healthy and holistic self-appraisal, a distinct and well-rounded identity and an appreciation for personal reflection.

Interpersonal Competence

Learning Outcome: Students who participate in Student Affairs programs, activities and services will cultivate healthy, meaningful and mature relationships with others while displaying understanding for the importance of collaboration and interdependence.

Social Responsibility

Learning Outcome: Students who participate in Student Affairs programs, activities and services will value human rights, exercise servant-leadership, and engage in civic and social justice initiatives.

Intercultural Maturity

Learning Outcome: Students who participate in Student Affairs programs, activities and services will display personal growth in understanding and appreciation for human difference and will respectfully engage in and embrace cultural exploration.

Cognitive and Practical Skills

Learning Outcome: Students who participate in Student Affairs programs, activities and services will acquire and utilize the critical thinking and life management skills necessary to demonstrate self-sufficiency, manage their personal affairs, and live healthy, purposeful and satisfying lives.
