The best celebration in years!
Homecoming weekends are always great fun. But this past fall, alumni, students, visitors and football fans experienced an extra surge of Cardinal pride and enthusiasm by celebrating a nail-biting victory by the undefeated Cardinal football team in front of nearly 4,000 fans. They also attended two Homecoming concerts and the alumni awards program in the fabulous new Wentz Concert Hall and Fine Arts Center, and enjoyed some very lively class reunions.
“We had alumni coming back who hadn’t been here in many years and they couldn’t believe what Homecoming at North Central has become,” said Adrian Aldrich ’02, director of alumni relations. Another high point was the sold-out production of The Diary of Anne Frank—the inaugural production in the new Madden Theatre—directed by Donald “Doc” Shanower, professor of speech communication/theatre emeritus.
Dozens of returning alumni also participated in sports reunions and special anniversary reunions of WONC-FM 89.1 and New Visions campus ministry.
