Love music and anxious to start performing? This is where you want to be! Auditions and meetings ranging from jazz studies to voice placement will take place at this time. Theatre Meeting

3 - 4 p.m.

Meiley-Swallow Hall, Theatre

Opening meeting for all interested in theatre activities at North Central for the 2011-2012 academic year. Mandatory for all theatre majors, minors and scholarship holders, all others are welcome. Find out important information about faculty, auditions, shows and everything else you want to know about theatre.

“Kiss Me Kate”

Tuesday, September 11

6 p.m.

Pfeiffer Hall Stage

Dance auditions for anyone interested in being in the chorus. You must also attend if you wish to be considered for either Lois Lane or Bill Calhoun. Be warmed up and ready to dance at the start of the audition. A short combination will be taught at the time of the audition.

7 p.m.

Pfeiffer Hall Stage

Vocal Auditions

Prepare 16 bars of a song that you feel shows off your voice. An accompanist will be provided. Have a second selection ready in case we need to hear more. There will be no readings at the preliminary auditions.

“Flu Season”

Tuesday, September 12

6 p.m.

Madden

Auditions for North Central’s Fall musicals, Flu Season and Kiss Me Kate, will be open to all students. Auditions for Flu Season require a one-minute contemporary monologue. For more information, contact Carin Silkaitis at cdsilkaitis@noctrl.edu.

Co-Ed Cheerleading Team

The cheerleading team performs at all home football and basketball games throughout the year. Tryouts are held in late spring for football season and in mid-November for basketball season. Everyone is encouraged to try out, regardless of experience level. Dance Team

The dance team performs at athletic events and invites anyone with dance interest to join. This is audition-based; however, they invite everyone, regardless of experience level, to participate. Contact Rachel Mitchell, dance team coach, at remitchell@noctrl.edu for more information.

Red Noise Pep Band

The Red Noise pep band performs at athletic events and invites any student that plays a band instrument to join. While the band has auditions for part assignments, everyone is welcome to participate regardless of experience level. The group also includes The Red Thunder Drumline during football season.
