Wentz Fine Arts Center

Arrival Information:  

Check-in to the Summer Institute and to the Schneller Residence Hall will be available after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, through Thursday, June 23, in the Wentz Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Avenue, Naperville, IL, on the North Central College campus. There is a drop off lane on the east side of the Fine Arts Center on Ellsworth Street for your convenience.  From there, we'll assist you in reaching your lodging.  If you anticipate arriving after 10 p.m., our Campus Security contact will assist you (see below).

Directions from Chicago Avenue and Brainard to Wentz Fine Arts Center:

Follow directions from O’Hare or Midway Airports or from off-campus lodging to  intersection of Chicago Avenue and Brainard.  Turn north on Brainard to Jefferson Street (1 small block). Turn west (left) on Jefferson to Ellsworth (1 small block). Pull in on your right at Wentz Fine Arts Center drive-up, 171 E. Chicago, intersection of Chicago and Ellsworth. 

Parking:

A parking pass and map of campus parking locations will be made available upon arrival at registration in Wentz Fine Arts Center. Please note that free on-street parking is also available in the vicinity, but with a strictly enforced 4-hour limit, when signs are posted. Equally important, pay particular attention to the regulation which prohibits overnight on-street parking in Naperville. There is also free parking at downtown garages and lots, although at times these may be congested. We encourage you to park in lots on campus and walk into town.

Residence Hall Availability:  Tuesday night-Thursday night.   

Meal Arrangements:  The first official conference meal is scheduled for early Wednesday evening. For those participating in selected meetings prior to the official start of the Conference, meals may form a part of the program (more details will follow). For others arriving early, there are numerous restaurants within a very short walking distance of the residence halls. A restaurant guide will be available for a sampling of the rich array of downtown Naperville restaurants, coffeehouses, and clubs, all from a half-block to several blocks away.
