Japanese I/II for Adults (Ages 14+)

This is a beginner to intermediate course that teaches basic Japanese or accentuates basic Japanese taught in high school or college. Learn and use greetings, kana and kanji, and construct sentences.

NEW! Introduction to Spanish

If you want to learn Spanish, Introduction to Spanish is a great place to start. This class will prepare you to communicate in Spanish whether on vacation in a Spanish speaking country or talking to a native speaker in your community, and will begin to prepare you to share your thoughts with others. This class will teach you basic phrases, counting, telling time and asking basic questions. The class is taught by a native Spanish speaker, and time will be given for conversation practice.

Spanish for the Workplace

Whether you are an employer or employee, if you need to use Spanish at your job, this beginner course will help prepare you for your everyday challenges. This class will apply to any industry, from restaurants to offices, preschools to doctors offices. Topics will include the basics for job interviews, client lunches, basic courtesy, how to give instructions, dates and times and much more. Time will be given for conversation practice.

Introduction to Russian

This course is for students of all ages, with no Russian experience required. Students will be introduced to the Russian language through listening, speaking, reading and writing. The goal for this 10-session course is for students to learn basic vocabulary, grammar, and common phrases.

Advanced Russian

This course is for students of all ages, who have experience with the Russian language and are interested in expanding their skills. The goal for this 10-session course is for students to expand their communication and writing proficiency, as well as their understanding of Russian culture.

Russian Language and Literature

This course is for school age children who speak and read Russian fluently, as well as those with weaker reading skills. This course will include an analysis of literature, philosophical discussion of issues, poetry readings, as well as an explanation of spelling and punctuation rules. The program follows School 2100—a curriculum approved by the Russian Academy of Education.
