North Central College students will present a four-performance run of "Tell Me Truly," an exciting, guitar-driven original musical.

Jan. 22, 2010--North Central College students will present a four-performance run of "Tell Me Truly," an exciting, guitar-driven original musical written by senior Chad Comello and junior Taylor Martin. The play is presented by The Company, a student club with members who are passionate about theatre and want to explore new theatrical ideas.

Jan. 19, 2010—“Home of the Angels,” a solo art show by North Central College senior Brigit Goudie of Oak Lawn will be exhibited Jan. 25 through Feb. 28 in the Meiley-Swallow Hall Gallery, 31 S. Ellsworth St., Naperville.

The artist will meet visitors and talk about her drawings during a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13. Goudie is graduating from North Central College in June 2010 with a major in English and a minor in studio art and art history.

Women's Chorale, DuPage Symphony present joint concert Feb. 13

The Muntu Dance Theatre of Chicago will perform its stirring interpretations of contemporary and ancient African and African-American dance, music and folklore.

The colorful and invigorating Muntu Dance Theatre is highly regarded for its innovative repertory, preserving traditional African dance while creating new works that build on African, Caribbean and African-American cultural traditions.

Student organization hosts Second City Touring Company

Chicago's Second City Touring Company will perform at North Central College at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, in Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave., Naperville.

This event is free to the public and campus community and is sponsored by North Central's College Union Activities Board (CUAB) student organization. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and seating is general admission.

The world-famous Harlem Gospel Choir will present an inspirational performance North Central College’s Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center.

Chicago Ave., Naperville. The Harlem Gospel Choir, founded in 1986 by Allen Bailey, is a gathering of the finest singers and musicians from various black churches in Harlem. The choir travels the globe, sharing its joy of faith through its music and, whenever possible, raising funds for children’s charities.

Paintings of Midwest landscapes featured in exhibit

The exhibit “A Thousand Acres” opens Jan. 10 and features paintings and watercolors by artist Carole Hennessy, who’s been creating Midwest landscapes on canvas for more than 30 years. Her exhibit runs through Feb. 18 in the Gallery of Oesterle Library, with an artist’s reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10.
