North Central College named a 2012 Military Friendly School

Recognized for helping veterans earn degrees and find jobs, North Central College has been named a 2012 Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine.

Sept. 13, 2011—North Central College has been named a 2012 Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine.

The 2012 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members and veterans as students.

North Central College begins its Sesquicentennial year with record enrollment of more than 3,000 students.

Sept. 6, 2011—North Central College begins its Sesquicentennial year with a record number of students.

The College—which on Nov. 11 will mark the 150th anniversary of its 1861 founding—anticipates total enrollment to exceed 3,000 as the 2011-2012 academic year begins. The year is expected to begin with more than 2,700 undergraduate students and nearly 300 graduate students.

Forbes magazine rates North Central College among America’s Top Colleges

In its 2011 "America's Top Colleges" survey, Forbes says North Central College is among the best undergraduate institutions in the nation.

Aug. 18, 2011—Forbes magazine rates North Central College among “America’s Top Colleges.”

“Our annual list of America's best undergraduate institutions focuses on educational outcomes, not reputations,” Forbes writer Michael Noer says in the piece. “Our annual ranking of the 650 best undergraduate institutions focuses on the things that matter the most to students: quality of teaching, great career prospects, graduation rates and low levels of debt.”
