The men’s track and field team has a total of 13 entries in seven events at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in Berea, Ohio, including three that won indoor national championships in March. More For the women, three student-athletes will be going to the 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships May 27-29.


College hosts Special Olympics Spring Games on April 25

The public is welcome to cheer athletes as they compete in the Special Olympics Illinois Northeastern Area 2 Spring Games April 25 at North Central College.

Families, volunteers and spectators will cheer on runners, shot-putters and other athletes as they compete in the 2010 Special Olympics Illinois Northeastern Area 2 Spring Games from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at North Central College.

North Central College is ranked 22nd among all NCAA Division III programs in the final fall Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup all-sports standings, released by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Dec. 23. North Central is the top-ranked school in the CCIW, with Illinois Wesleyan University at 39th with 103 points and Wheaton College at 53rd (89 points).

North Central College will be represented by three football players and two coaches at the 2009 Tazon de Estrellas All-Star Game on Saturday, Dec. 19, in Monterrey, Mexico. Quarterback Aaron Fanthorpe ’10, offensive tackle Josh Delancy ’10 and defensive end Tim Janecek ’10 will each participate for Team Stars & Stripes in the game.

With all seven competing runners earning All-America status, the Cardinals decimated the field, finishing with just 50 points, the fourth-lowest winning total in the meet's history. Runner-up Williams College finished with 181 points, giving North Central the largest margin of victory ever at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Championships.

The men’s cross country team looks to win its 13th national title on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Highland Hills Golf Course in Cleveland, Ohio. The NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championship race is scheduled to begin at noon Eastern time. Go Cards!!
