The football team scored on its first nine possessions, ending with 612 yards in a dominating 57-7 victory over St. Norbert College in the first-round Division III playoff game Nov. 20. The Cardinals meet Ohio Northern at home Saturday, Nov. 27, in their second round.

Muck and Mashuli co-author online op-ed

William Muck, assistant professor of political science, and economics major Etienne Mashuli ’13 co-authored an op-ed piece on international NGO website.

William Muck, assistant professor of political science and coordinator of global studies, and Etienne Mashuli ’13, economics major, co-authored an op-ed piece about the Robin Hood Tax campaign that was posted on the website of an international NGO focused on global poverty. Their comments about the proposed Robin Hood Tax, a small fee on all global financial market transactions to raise money to help fight poverty, were made in the context of the recent G20 Summit in Seoul, Korea.

Tommy Rivera-Vega ’11 has landed the part of Rum Tum Tugger in a professional production of “Cats” opening Nov. 21 in Chicago’s Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre.

North Central College senior Tommy Rivera-Vega has landed the key part of Rum Tum Tugger in a professional production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats” in the award-winning Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre at Chicago’s No Exit Café. The show runs Nov. 21-Jan. 2.

Men’s cross country, football head to nationals

Winning contests on Nov. 13 meant the men’s cross country and football teams head to NCAA Division III National Championships in their sports on Nov. 20.

Winning contests on Nov. 13 meant the men’s cross country and football teams head to NCAA Division III National Championships in their sports on Nov. 20. In cross country, all seven runners finished in the top 25 at regionals, securing the team’s third straight NCAA Division III Midwest Regional title at the Saukie Golf Course and participation in the National Championships in Waverly, Iowa. The squad aims to claim its second straight national title and 14th overall.

Football wins Little Brass Bell and more

In a dominating win against Wheaton College, 28-6, the Cardinal football team wins third straight Little Brass Bell, bid to nationals and share of CCIW crown.

In Saturday’s dominating 28-6 win against Wheaton College, the Cardinals won the Little Brass Bell for the third straight year, a bid to the NCAA championships, and clinched at least a share of the CCIW crown (the team has a final conference game Nov. 13).
